Why would you want to come to our church?
Jesus used to associate with what some people would’ve called the “wrong crowd”. On Sunday mornings at 11am is when we members of the wrong crowd gather to try to figure our lives out. Our 150 year old stone church is a great space to come and find peace. It’s also a place to find amazing music. Almost half of our small congregation sings in the choir. The music reflects the flow of time both seasonally and in our own passage of time. Come let us sing for you. Bring a friend or your family (safety in numbers). Come and be part of our growth spurt. We will welcome you but not descend upon you.
Besides church, what else can I be involved in?
- Legs for Lao(s): A few years ago, we raised awareness and then funds to purchase over 300 prosthetic legs for victims of unexploded bombs (UXO) and motorbike accidents in the southeast Asia country of Lao(s).
- The Jason School: On January 27, 2018 we completed the construction of a block and mortar elementary school for 263 kids in the jungle village of Vieng Xai, Lao. Ten of us went over for the school’s dedication. On April 21, 2018 there will be a Lao/American party here at the church at 7pm to celebrate the school. It will be part travelogue, Lao food treats and the sharing of Lao traditions. And the unveiling of a watercolor of the school.
- Fat Tuesday Pancake Dinner Parties are always a hit. Pancakes, piles of bacon and diverse live music.
- Easter Sunday join us. There will be lots of music and a message.
- Saturday Book Club is the first Saturday of each month at 2pm.
