At their meeting this past Sunday, the Deacons voted to donate the $175 in memory of MacKenzie Wright to CURE Foundation. MacKenzie’s young body succumbed to cancer last week, but her spirit has left its mark upon many many people.

Also, in 2009, the church started an international mission project of raising money for mosquito net missions in Africa, through a parishioner’s connection with Doane University in Nebraska. The church is sending $830 that it had collected for The Africa Mosquito Net Project. Dr. Brad Elder, assistant professor of Biology at the university spends time in Africa enabling residents to create microbusinesses and make their own life-saving mosquito nets.
